De Beauvoir Association Party in the Park

The Englefield Charitable Trust is proud to be supporting the De Beauvoir Association Party in the Park, now in its 13th year.

On Saturday 8th July from 2pm-5pm, families will gather in the beautiful De Beauvoir Square at the heart of De Beauvoir Town in East London, to enjoy an afternoon of sports, crafts and games.

Children are welcome to browse the giveaway stall, offering a range of books, games and toys for free, donated by local residents and publishers.

Many local businesses support the party, offering everything from sponsorship to raffle prizes, with local residents baking cakes and savouries. Local musicians are also invited to perform creating a real party atmosphere.

Catherine Haig, Chair of the Englefield Charitable Trust, said: “The De Beauvoir Party in the Park provides the children with an exciting afternoon of activities, bringing the whole community together in such a beautiful setting and is a project we are proud to support.”

The Trust was established in 1968 by Sir William Benyon and its giving reflects his broad philanthropic outlook. It supports a range of charities, causes and initiatives in Berkshire and other areas, like De Beauvoir Town, which have links to the Englefield Estate.
