Life’s an adventure playground!

It’s great to see these youngsters enjoying their new adventure playground at Englefield Primary School.

The school’s hard-working parent-teacher association led a fundraising drive to build the new playground, alongside a new science and outdoor learning zone. The playground is open to all the children of the community, not just pupils at the school.

New artificial grass has also been laid for the Reception class’s play garden.

Funding came from the Englefield Estate, the National Lottery and Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme as well as the PTA.

Headteacher Andrew Ind said: “Children at the school and the village now have a wonderful play area with various elements that not only will provide huge amounts of fun, but also help them with skills such as balance and climbing.”
