Terry Perkins

Herd Manager

Terry joined the Estate in 1970 and is one of our longest serving members of staff. With an Open University degree in Dairy Management, he originally oversaw the day to day running of our milking herd on the Home Farms. Following a change of direction, Terry took up the challenge of establishing a herd of pedigree Hereford cattle and regularly shows the animals earning the herd numerous trophies and rosettes.

Terry has been Chairman of the South of England Hereford Breeders Association and is still an active committee member. He is also on the Cattle Committee for Royal Berkshire Agricultural Show.

As a member of the Berkshire College Agricultural Forum he works closely with students who visit the farm for workshops, sharing both his wealth of experience and his passion for cattle.

Terry is a keen amateur photographer and enjoys fishing and shooting.
