Forestry & Estate Worker

The Englefield Estate is offering an exciting opportunity to join its forestry team, managing 1,300 hectares of woodland in Berkshire and Hampshire. The Estate’s woodlands are split roughly 50/50 conifer and broadleaf and are manged for timber production, wildlife and recreational benefits. www.englefieldestate.co.uk

The role is a hands-on, practical position carrying out forestry and estate management activities that enhance the Estate’s woodlands and contribute towards the Estate’s vision to be a diverse and sustainable business, supporting vibrant communities and delivering environmental benefit.

The successful candidate will also be involved in external contracting where appropriate, working on woodlands or Estates not owned by The Englefield Estate. The successful candidate will be part of the small, established forestry team working out of the Estate’s Forestry Yard in Mortimer West End. The work will cover the full range of forest management activities from planting and pruning to tree felling and timber extraction.
