Building Manager
Duncan is a Chartered Building Surveyor with responsibility for the maintenance of the Estate’s built assets, including Englefield House. His role includes managing and planning the refurbishment of Estate properties when they become vacant. Duncan is also the Estate’s Health and Safety Coordinator and works with all department managers to assist with ensuring compliance in all Estate activities.
Duncan joined the Estate in August 2015 having previously worked in similar roles at Bloxham independent school, the Reserve Forces & Cadets Association and started his career with a national surveying practice, GVA Grimley. Duncan is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
The Englefield Estate manages 14,000 acres of mainly rural land and property in West Berkshire. We are hands on in the management of our farming, forestry and property interests and take a long-term view of good stewardship, investment and building strong local relationships.
