Teams unite at Englefield Estate for Bupa Challenge 2018

The Englefield Estate opened its grounds in 2018 to Bupa for their annual Bupa Challenge event, which saw teams of Bupa people, clients and business partners of the company take part in a team building event across the Estate.

The exciting range of activities for Bupa Challenge 2018 included mountain biking, laser clay shooting, stone carving, and a mental and physical obstacle course. The action-packed day was finished off with delicious food and drink under a beautifully lit-up open marquee complemented by live music.

Last year Facebook brought 1,200 of their staff to the Englefield Estate for their annual summer staff party, which had the theme of enchanted garden. The estate has also successfully arranged events for many other companies including; Cazenove Capital Management, Quintessentially Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Peter Carson, House and Events Manager for the Englefield Estate, said: “We have seen a huge rise in demand for corporate hospitality, and with our bespoke service we have seen a number of well-recognised companies enjoy a whole host of events in the House and grounds.

“Our beautiful setting, warm welcome and professional service has earned us a reputation as a premier venue, with many of our clients returning year on year”.

The Englefield Estate is a great location for corporate days and events, set in 14,000 acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside, offering plenty of space to accommodate large groups of people. Its prime location near London makes it a particularly appealing choice for city-based businesses looking to escape to the glorious English countryside.

The lure of the Englefield Estate stems from being a famous filming location for the popular Netflix drama, The Crown, and blockbuster films such as The King’s Speech, and most recently seeing Pippa Middleton and James Matthews marry at St Mark’s Church on the Estate in 2017.

Peter added: “It was a great delight hosting Bupa for their Challenge 2018 team building activity day, and with the growing demand for corporate days, we are keen to ensure our offering is refreshed to continue appealing to the wide market.

“We really pride ourselves on making sure our visitors enjoy their experience and we never lose sight of what makes Englefield such an attractive and special place”.
