We are pleased to announce that the renowned Great British Food Festival will be at Englefield House on Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th 2019.
A day packed with foodie fun, the Festival is the perfect day out for all the family. Now in its eighth year, the event is coming to the grounds of Englefield House for the first time this summer.
Great British Bake Off stars Howard Middleton and Briony May will be taking centre stage for the chef demos, providing top baking tips that helped them secure their ‘Hollywood Handshakes’ on the show.
Budding home bakers who want to follow in their footsteps can enter the Festival’s very own Cake Off (all Cake Off entrants get free entry to the Festival!)
Sample and buy produce from local and national suppliers in the artisan market - from chutneys to cheese, cakes to chilli - including some homemade products which you won’t find on the shelves of the local supermarket.
Or for the more competitive among you, there will be a host of competitions taking place on the challenge stage throughout the day. The Man (or woman) vs Food challenges always draw a crowd and 2019’s competitions also include a ‘Gin Off’ and a ‘Rum Off’.
In addition to all the foodie delights, the Festival’s ever-popular craft tent will be packed full with local traders with all kinds of gifts and crafts, from cards to soft toys, soaps to confectionery. It’s not to be missed!
