We’re busy at Englefield Home Farms preparing the ground for winter wheat destined to make bread for one of Britain’s best-known family of bakers.
For those with an eye for detail, yes, that is a Massey Ferguson 7624 with a Kverneland six-furrow reversible plough, which is making light work of the job due to the gravely ground here.
Soon we’ll be drilling a winter wheat called Skyfall which will be harvested in August 2019, so you’ll be able to enjoy it in your sandwiches in about a year’s time!
