The Englefield Estate has for generations helped to provide the community with high-quality educational and recreational facilities.
Since the site at North Street Playing Fields was first identified as being suitable for a new Theale primary school, we have consistently sought to assist both West Berkshire and Theale councils in delivering a modern, fit-for-purpose facility for the village.
The proposals drawn up by the Estate followed discussions with both councils and include longer concessionary leases on the remaining playing fields and additional land for new sports facilities, ensuring it will be available for the community to enjoy for many years to come. Financial compensation for Theale has also been agreed by all parties.
