Your guide to Englefield Gardens

We are pleased to announce that our new gardens leaflet is now available, packed with everything you need to inform and guide your visit.

Covering everything from the history of the gardens to what is in flower when, pick up a copy when you visit us, or download a copy online here.

Our stunning 12-acre gardens are open to visitors every Monday throughout the year from 10am–6pm April to October and 10am–4pm November to March. The entry fee for adults is £5 and children can enjoy the gardens for free.

Throughout the garden, there is plenty to see and explore. The grotto at the top of the stream is a recent addition and is lined with a mosaic of pine cones. On the upper terrace is a children’s garden with water jets hidden in four small statues as well as a slide and swings.

Other things to look out for include the ivy house at the top of the garden, the Big Bear, the round pebble garden the camellia bridge, woodman’s hut and our very own dinosaur shaped stumpery.

We also offer private garden tours led by our Head Gardener, Sue. Find out more here. We look forward to seeing you.
